Determine the gear stats and armor type you need for your new character. For example, a paladin requires Strength as their main stat, and heavy armor (the armor type) will scale as the character scales if they are initially unable to wear heavy armor due to being a lower level. Your optimal heirloom gear set will feature the same main stat as your starting gear.
Last I wanna share a curious bug that almost freezes my game and force me to disable the addon. Anytime I add a (Citadel Crossbow [of the Fireflash]) my fps go from 75 to 22, and It's on a paladin, paladins dont even use crossbows. I noticed everytime I put something in my bags the addon takes the math and my fps goes from 75 to ~22 for a while (3 to 7 seconds) and is think it's internal and also think it's fine.

The biggest challenge to leveling up in the beta is searching for where the quest objectives are, so if you’re looking to hit the level 30 cap fast — or just the level 5 cap in today’s stress test — you’ll need one of these.
Most classes in World of Warcraft start at first level, but Death Knights and Demon Hunters are exceptions. They start at level 55 and 98, respectively. This alone can shave a huge chunk of time from your leveling experience. It may feel odd to join people you don’t know, but if they have Hasty Hearth (and most guilds do), joining can save you a lot of legwork.
I remember when World of Warcraft first came out, and it was actually fun to do some quests, and discover new territories, and kill a couple hundred bears or murlocs or what have you, and get all excited when you got a new level and got to pick new skills or talents, or finally got to wear a wizard hat or get a mount. But come on, how many times can you really do that before it gets old. No one is fooled, Blizzard. There are like 5 quests that get repeated over and over, just with different beasts to kill, items to gather, etc. I just made my Death Knight, and I played for only a couple hours, doing some quests, testing my spells, before already getting bored with the leveling process. And this is with a brand new expansion and an obvious effort by Blizzard to make the quests interesting, like the Eye of Acherus and the stealing the horse ones. Yeah those quests were kind of cool. Enough to make me want to quest for hours and days until I get from level 55 to 80? Nope.
There’s a whole list of websites that are trying to compile the working addons for the WoW Classic beta. The easiest one to parse through is Will It Classic. The site has a list of addons — including a search function — and has color-coded each one to signify whether or not it’s working on the beta client. Drustvar is far and away the hardest Alliance zone, which is exactly why you want to do it first. If you have legendary items, they’ll still be usable, and if you don’t, this zone will still be easier early on than it will be later. Drustvar is also extremely fast and will let you jump out ahead of your competition in other zones, which means fewer players around to take your quest objectives.
