Also, Bidding Is A Thing.  There were bidding wars for the most expensive items on the AH, which you can only find in IF and Org. There might be bidding wars for the rarest of items on trade chat or the realm forums, for things such as the Hide of the Wild pattern. This drops from Dire Maul, Knot Thimblejack, by the way.
Our old friend Quest Helper isn’t updated for the client, but there’s !Questie and MonkeyQuest to help you track available quests and their objectives. The biggest challenge to leveling up in the beta is searching for where the quest objectives are, so if you’re looking to hit the level 30 cap fast — or just the level 5 cap in today’s stress test — you’ll need one of these.
Through out the game, the quest log will be capped to 20 many times.  The guide makes use of maximizing the total amount of quests you can accept at once.  Because of this it is important to follow the guide exactly and only accept quests if the guide tells you to so you won't run into issues not being able to accept a quest.  If you do accept a quest that is not listed in the guide, write it down because you may need to abandon it in order to keep following the guide if your quest log is full.

15 Nov US players on EU Hi everyone, I’m the leader of a gaming community on Discord and am based in the EU. Members of my community are US based and when classic lands we want to ensure we are all playing together on EU servers. I haven’t played retail for a while but have been informed that it’s now subscription only (no need to purchase expansions anymore, please correct me if I’m wrong) to play the most recent content. Can someone please tell me if we will encounter any issues with US players logging in to EU servers? They already have US accounts so it seems unrealistic to expect them to have to buy an EU copy to play classic on EU servers. Sorry if this isn’t making sense. Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Also - are there any channels in existence for recruitment purposes? (I plan in advance)Ashala10 15 Nov
Nov 15 Little Test on Class Quest Rewards Hey guys, I did a little test on certain class rewards to check whether they are adequate or not for the level they are obtainable. Paladin - Verigan's Fist is a famous weapon, added probably during the Naxx patch and lot of paladins remember lasting it for long time. Obtainable level is like 22, with party of same level players. And the Mace is equivalent to a level 26 Blue Mace. This means it's not bad! Warrior - Brutal Hauberk is infamous warrior chest. It is obtainable at level 20(as I remember), but it requires running a level 28+ dungeon. And it's mediocre - it compares to a level 24 blue, which is stupid. Whirlwind Axe is a famous warrior weapon which requires a nanny. :D You get level 30 and then pay people money or beg them to help you. This is not even doable with normal party until 35ish. Whirlwind Axe is equivalent to a 35 level Blue Axe, which is decent but still seems to be forcing it. Unless you hire a nanny, being social will probably help you get it at around 35-36 with similar level players. Warlock - Enchanted Gold Bloodrobe is pretty famous. I am not sure when it is exactly doable but is comparable to a level 35ish Robe. I think the verdict is that Paladin's Hammer is by far the best and the reason for it is that it was added later, at the end of vanilla, when Blizzard had more brains. :DHolylr1 Nov 15
While our initial effort helped us determine the experience we wanted to provide, this second prototype really defined how we’d get there. Starting from a modern architecture—with all its security and stability changes—means the team’s efforts can be focused on pursuing an authentic classic experience. Any differences in behavior between our development builds and the patch 1.12 reference can be systematically cataloged and corrected, while still operating from a foundation that’s stable and secure.
Things like the Fishing training book from Booty Bay and the First Aid book from Stromgarde (A) and Brackenwall (H) will fetch a very good price, but even the less rare items like Undermine Clam Chowder recipe (from Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris) can sell well.  The Limited Supply routes in capital cities in Legion is still the same route and vendors as back in vanilla.  Become a Patreon to The Gold Queen and see the limited supply routes for IF, SW, Darn, Org, UC, and TB, as well as the Booty Bay special, in videos as part of the gold guide I’m still crafting.

Over the 15 years since the launch of World of Warcraft, Blizzard has slowly sanded off some of Azeroth's rough edges. The world is still bustling with dangerous dungeons and harrowing raids, but these days it's a kinder, friendlier world. World of Warcraft Classic aims to fix that, to make Azeroth dangerous again--although it retains a few of the modern niceties.


14 Nov Classic WoW alternate timeline Hi, I'd love to hear some players opinion on the following: WoW Classic to be an alternate timeline. Players stay at level 60 and further content will be developed. Like different Raids, Dragon Isles, that weird Snail-Like-Building for possible old god content, Mount Hyjal, Dead Wind pass. Devs could implement all the old stuff that was planned for Vanilla wow. Deathwing... Azshara Battleground. Or staggering release of Expansions until Wrath of the Lich King? (Personally I wouldn't like that.. I'd rather stay in Vanilla forever... like until I'm a old man in my 80s dying while goldfarming or something.) Or just straight staying on the Naxx Patch forever? My favourite would be having a long time for the Naxx patch so more ppl can kill Kel'thuzad and then developing this unplanned content sounds like a very very awesome Idea for me. Furthermore, we highly recommend you plan in advance regarding the class that you want to play. In the Classic WoW, there were no class specs. Every talent point spent couldn’t be changed without first resetting all of them and the talent point reset was a costly practice. If you already know what you want to play as in the end game – try to develop your talent tree accordingly. This way you’ll be able to save a lot of gold in advance.

It is a great advantage to start making some silver and your first gold coin at low levels already. Skinning is a nice choice here. Fast and easy way to gather resources, leather of all kinds while leveling for those who are at the race to level 60. There are many good spots to grind beast mobs and skin them. I like doing it as a Troll Hunter, trolls have a passive racial ability: + 5% bonus damage against beasts.


The primary goal of Conflict and Strife is to provide an interesting choice in PvP by allowing access to an extra PvP Talent. It’s not necessarily going to be a strong option for PvE. The acquisition of this Essence is via PvP, and is totally optional for PvE-focused players. While there may be interesting PvE uses for some of the choices, it is not expected to be a strong competitor on usual PvE criteria (like total throughput) on every spec.
So we asked ourselves, would it still be possible to deliver an authentic classic experience if we took our modern code, with all its back-end improvements and changes, and used it to process the Patch 1.12 game data? While that might seem counterintuitive, this would inherently include classic systems like skill ranks, old quests and terrain, talents, and so on, while later features like Transmog and Achievements would effectively not exist because they were entirely absent from the data. After weeks of R&D, experimentation, and prototyping, we were confident we could deliver the classic WoW content and gameplay without sacrificing the literally millions of hours put in to back-end development over the past 13 years.
In this form, there is much less wasted space and spells are no longer limited to three effects. But before we can load any database data, we need to transform the old data layout into the new one. This is not limited to spells, as almost every game system (including items, creatures, player characters, spawning, AI, and more) has had its database layout altered over the years.
15 Nov What classes will be rare/common? Given that with Wow Classic, players will have the benefit of hindsight, what classes will be oversubscribed and which will be rare? I prefer playing spellcasters and would love to go mage, but it would be a bit boring if there were loads of other mages around. Seems like there might be.
