Where to get materials and reagents you may ask? Buy for cheap off farmers in bulk or track Auction House lots. Get in touch with most big sellers. Communication is important here, send a whisper or write them a letter. It would be good for both of you to establish business relationships. Constant suppliers and buyers is convenient for both parties to save the time and effort. 

Escort quests can take awhile to do.  I have thoroughly tested all the escort quests in the game for time/xp.  Most are worth doing, but as long as you are able to actually do them without failing.  Most require you to pay special attention to the escortee as most are fragile and will die easily, so do your best to keep mobs off of the escortee during escort quests.  The longest one in the game is the Tanaris chicken escort.  The chicken escorts are only worth doing if you were able to do all 3 of them, as if you do, you will be able to turn in an additional easy quick XP turn in quest at BB, which makes them worth it.
Things like the Fishing training book from Booty Bay and the First Aid book from Stromgarde (A) and Brackenwall (H) will fetch a very good price, but even the less rare items like Undermine Clam Chowder recipe (from Steamwheedle Port, Tanaris) can sell well.  The Limited Supply routes in capital cities in Legion is still the same route and vendors as back in vanilla.  Become a Patreon to The Gold Queen and see the limited supply routes for IF, SW, Darn, Org, UC, and TB, as well as the Booty Bay special, in videos as part of the gold guide I’m still crafting.

I prefer playing spellcasters and would love to go mage, but it would be a bit boring if there were loads of other mages around. Seems like there might be. Before work began on World of Warcraft: Classic, it was only possible for players to experience the original World of Warcraft by using private servers, which are illegal, often have stability or corruption problems, and generally are very imperfect recreations of the authentic World of Warcraft experience. As much as Blizzard has been aware of the desires of their community, until recently it seemed impossible for them to emulate Classic servers due to the technical hurdles of essentially having to run two massively multiplayer online games side-by-side. A breakthrough was then achieved that made it possible to run Classic servers on the modern architecture of current World of Warcraft servers.
First thing you should do is to learn the market for the specific item you would like to monopolize. Let’s say it is Kingsblood. We can see a stack of Kingsblood is selling for 1 gold. There are 10 stacks on Auction House. To control the market, you have to buy out all the lots of Kingsblood, even single ones. Next move is to make auctions of Kingsblood you have bought for the price you want. Be reasonable and make it 2 gold. But all people are still being used to the old price of 1 gold and will not buy your Kingsblood at first. You have to maintain your auctions for 2 gold all the time, no need to put all Kingsblood you have at once, 3-5 lots are enough at the beginning. You can see, other sellers may start create auctions for 2 gold as well. That’s what we need.  But if someone is selling for cheaper price, buy out their Kingsblood immediately. Soon people will start to accept your price of 2 gold as a regular price and will buy your stuff. Now you just to have to sell all Kingsblood you got. Control several markets. It can be anything, even twink blue items or items level 20-30 or 30-40. Same strategy works everywhere. It requires lots of time to track the markets and check auction house. It is not that easy as it may seem, you should spend at least a week of monitoring to be sure about prices, you will fail if you buy out everything at once without research. Soon or later, too many people will decide to sell your item as well. As they could see price change and think it had happened naturally. Market becomes overflooded. It is important to quit before the collapse. This always happens.

I recreated my very first character -- a human warrior, because in the last-push alpha test I joined in 2004, there was no Horde -- and logged in. Immediately, I was surprised by how good the graphics actually looked, for being 15 year old textures-on-polygons. Warcraft's bright colors and cartoony aesthetic continue to this day, so all the increased resolution and better-contoured characters in Lordaeron don't really change the game's visual aesthetic.
Over the 15 years since the launch of World of Warcraft, Blizzard has slowly sanded off some of Azeroth's rough edges. The world is still bustling with dangerous dungeons and harrowing raids, but these days it's a kinder, friendlier world. World of Warcraft Classic aims to fix that, to make Azeroth dangerous again--although it retains a few of the modern niceties.
Nov 15 Why was it "easy" for Nost, but hard for Bliz During Blizzcon we were told how challenging (at least that's how it came off) it was for Blizzard to create a working version of Classic... but Nostalrius, with no ties to Blizzard, was able to make a relatively bug free version of Vanilla? However, the bundled subscription comes with extreme drawbacks to both Classic and BfA players: It gives Blizzard a reason to cut corners on both games Since their monetary gains will be lower, as you only need one sub to play either BfA or Classic. Remembering how Blizzard has operated for the past few years gives you a clear reason why Classic supposedly needs to have Sharding, Right Click Reporting, Loot Trading and many other "conviniences". Blizzard is not expecting to bank on Classic in the long term and so, will have it operate on a shoestring budget. BfA is in danger too. Always having Classic as a fallback lets Blizzard go WoD 2.0 on BfA (and possibly future expansions), seeing as there is always some content in the retro game to do. It makes Blizzard assume extremely low retention rate And that's not neccesarily incorrect either. Assuming most of the tourist crowd will log on launch, the absolute lack of convinience and lots of running compared to 'fun' activities will put them off, possibly before leaving the first zone. The problem begins if some tourists stay, since all mechanics put in place to stabilize overestimated populations will have to remain until people leave, which might become more and more unlikely as time goes on (especially since people flock to high pop servers). It makes Blizzard prioritize a controlled launch experience Let's not kid ourselves, this is to make that launch look GOOD. The problem arises when we realize we need lots to quit the game that 'flows perfectly for everyone' before they hit a wall. The absolute uncontained chaos of launch day is something epic to see, epic to be part of and I've seen quite a lot of people express the opinion that while Blizzard is trying to resolve a perceived problem, they are in fact erasing the experience that would be paid for. It negates the obvious gameplay possibility One subscription means you can be logged in on one character at any given point in time. Makes sense. However, bundling the subs would imply you wanted players to have fun in both games. Say, go onto a really long flight path in Classic and do your emmisary in BfA. Or the reverse - 2 hours until raid night in BfA with nothing to do? Jump onto your Classic character and run a dungeon. To actually be able to use a flight path in Classic and play BfA simultaneously, you need a second sub. Why bundle them if you need 2 subs anyway to enjoy both games in ways you are certain you would with a single sub, but would be DC'd off one character? It targets the wrong crowd Now this is purely anecdotal, and thus worthless from a statistical POV but I'm sure someone can relate. My tight-knit group of 10 friends in total was rather eager to play Classic (some of us playing Retail, some playing on vanilla emulators). Well, almost all of us. Only two of them weren't happy about it, one person being neutral as he doesn't care, and another being hostile and 'happy to have Vanilla players put into their own asylum'. With all the changes that Classic 'needs' implemented, we're not going to return as private servers are closer to the actual vanilla experience. Doubly so once Classic releases - Blizzard is putting all the numbers, spawn points and mechanics into private server devs' hands. The anti-Classic player is happy, since he gets to 'screw around and troll a bit' without paying a single extra dime. 5 potential resubs are gone. It may encourage trading Modern and Classic gold ... The solution There were many solutions given and all of them have drawbacks. I propose separating subs, and to enable a free 10-day trial a few weeks after launch. Tourists/nostalgia runs get their dose of Classic without impacting server populations since these should be stable already. Without paying extra, just like they would be with a shared sub. Earning gold in World of Warcraft: Classic is all about optimizing your spendings. Back in the day, your character’s skills were acquired from a trainer, using money. Don’t just buy everything he or she offers! Read the skill descriptions and be mindful about them. Quite a few characters can live through the levelling process without learning some of their utility or damage spells. These won’t go anywhere and you’ll be able to learn them later on.

So committed, in fact, that modern WoW players are trying the beta and reporting what seem like bugs today but what were actually intended functionality 13 years ago. This became such a common occurrence that Blizzard publicly posted a list of known non-issues called the "WoW Classic 'Not a Bug' List." For example, hitboxes for the Tauren player race are much larger than those of other races. In a modern game, this would be seen as a serious balance issue (see: Apex Legends). But it's what vanilla WoW was like, so it has been faithfully reproduced.

Nov 15 Classic hit me like a truck I had no interest in it what so ever. After watching the blizzcon demo - I can’t stop thinking about it. The combat it’s so visceral. The world is so much bigger and so much more dangerous. Each fight reminded me of dark souls. I’ve been watching only classic and vanilla vids since blizzcon, it’s actually ruined retail for me. I was actually enjoying raiding in BFA but now I don’t want anything but to play classic and immerse myself in it. What is this sorcery? I heard vanilla wow was addictive, but really? I feel like I’m in withdrawal and I haven’t even played it yet. I think I’m in trouble once it releases. I don’t want to log into retail anymore :(Gripp204 Nov 15
If you like playing solo – there’s no better option than the Hunter.  Hunter is considered the most efficient solo-leveling class so you’ll ding level 60 in no time. As a Hunter, you will be able to tame various beasts across the world and use them as your pets. Pets help you tank groups of mobs and enable you to tackle some of the group quests alone. However, their PvE power falls off in the end-game, but their PvP potential is enormous. Skilled Hunters are a pain to deal with since it’s almost impossible to catch a masterful hunter.
World of Warcraft Classic has been in closed beta for just under a week. In that time hundreds of players clashed in the Arathi Highlands, the Classic WoW subreddit crested 100,000 subscribers, and the beta has garnered over 150,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. I've personally invested 20 hours into the beta at this point and am shocked to find myself enjoying parts of the 15-year-old MMO that I remember as mundane. Going in, I knew I'd love the single-shard servers, non-homogeneous classes, lack of flying mounts, and many reasons to interact with other players, but I didn't expect to enjoy the surprising difficulty of simply questing on my own. It's easy to take what I'm playing for granted but the fact of the matter is that WoW Classic wouldn't exist without years of deliberation on the part of a passionate fanbase, followed by years of development on the part of an equally passionate developer.
15 Nov 7.3.5 client - worst pick to begin with So on your panel you explained why you couldn't use the old Classic Client and told us why u basically needed to recreate the entire game with 7.3.5. This was the worst and main wrong choice to begin with and I guess u guys noticed that but it was to late to go back. Instead of starting the Megaproject to recreate the entire old game you should just have outsourced your servers and build a new, small customer support team to work with the old interface there. By this pretty cheap demo and panel we now see which "insane idea" (quoting you) route you picked. That was a pretty bad pick and beside Sharding,16 debuff slots, new forced animations/sounds into classic graphics toggle, wrong stats, wrong mobaggro range, wrong UI, emptying the world by summoning stones, wrong npc pathing on quests and all the other crap this is by far the worst change to Classic. We take all this "its just a demo" as granted and trust you to fix those things until Release even if time runs low for the enormous amount of fixes needed there till summer 2019. Okay but 7.3.5 brings an endless list with its engine and code which is not comparable. Rogues won't be able to abuse front backstabbing skills, the physics are fundamentall different, there won't be no animation cancels, the movement feels like legion not classic, melees won't have the expanded range they often used to due code bug, Mobs do backpeddale when u "push" them, tldr blablabla. https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/9ubyr6/wow_classic_demo_feedback_bugs_and_legion/ In short when people say "this doesn't feel like classic somehow" they're exactly right, because it is not classic. 14 Nov Some thoughts about sharding,loot-trading etc As stated in an earlier post (https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17619571827), I didn't start playing the game until Jan./Feb. 2006, so my own experience with Vanilla is limited (compared to many others in the community). I do however want Classic to be as close to Vanilla as it can possibly be. (Disclaimer; I do admit I haven't gone too deep into all the topics, in regards to the implications of implementing such and such. These are just a random dude's thoughts about an upcoming revamp I'm really hyped about.) -Updated graphics and new models; I don't really have a problem with either. I think. I mean, it's not a deal-breaker for me, but I would prefer the old-school stuff. Currently playing on a potato, so I don't really know what updated graphics are anyways. :p -Sharding; no. Server-crashes (or login-queues) will always be preferable to sharding. Obviously nobody wants server-crashes or login-queues, but unlike sharding, it's not game-breaking. And besides, when the game comes out it will be 2019... are Blizzard saying they don't have the tech. to create sharding-free, non-hyperlaggy servers? I hear talks about how private servers manage to do it, so it will obviously be a non-issue for Blizzard to also do it... right? -Server-population; 3k-ish? Not sure tbh, but it should be (as with most other things) as close to Vanilla as possible. -Server-mergers; Don't really know how I feel about this, I just have more questions. Inevitably people will drop off, re-roll/switch servers etc., so what will happen with the "dead" servers? -Debuff-limit; 8 at launch. I don't really have an opinion on when 16 should be implemented, but it should be 8 at launch. -Loot-trading; a HUGE no-no! Not only was this not in Vanilla, this will 100% be abused. I can understand the point Frostadamus and others have made, that it could be used in raids but not dungeons, but there is no actual need for it to be implemented. -Progressive itemization; yes. This topic goes over my head, so I'll leave it up to the smart people to figure it out. But yes. -Content release; I like/agree with Esfand; ... -Classic being Classic; to borrow from a YT-comment (Michael Pate); "No one completed BWL unless they had completed MC. No one completed AQ40 who had not completed BWL. No one completed Naxx who had not completed AQ40." For some reason I see a lot of people who really hate this, that they can't just hit max level and jump right into a raid and expect to kill bosses. (You know, there are these pre-raid BiS-lists out there...) They also talk about tuning raids, balancing classes (and melee vs. casters) etc. I don't get it. This is supposed to be Classic, so the classes/roles will obviously not be balanced, nor should they be. Being out-healed by other classes, or out-dps'd? Yes, you will be. You personally may not top the meters, but the guild/raid will progress, and that's the point. Needing resistance-gear for specific encounters? Naturally (pun intended). Getting a fancy cloak to shield you from a terrible fire-breathing dragon? (points to you if you get the movie-reference) Definitely. Getting specific items in order to down a specific boss is a good thing, and in order to progress/complete a specific raid, you should have gathered enough gear/skill/experience from the previous raid(s). But if you are unable to leave your e-peen at the login-screen, you need to find a very hardcore raid(or pvp)guild, or I fear you will not enjoy Classic. Non-hardcore (and/or non-fanatical) guilds won't have a problem with hybrid specs joining their ranks, but all of this is subjective. Play the class/spec you want to play. If you hate tanking, don't play a tank. You should definitely try it out at some point, as with healing, but this is a game after all, it is supposed to be fun. So play the way you want to play, with people you want to play with, who has no problem with you playing the class/role you want to play. No matter your desire or playstyle, there will always be others out there who share your insanity/quirks. Great minds think alike and all that. :) I'm sure there are things I've forgotten to write about, misunderstood etc. Thankfully there are lots of more knowledgeable players out there who are also better at explaining why they think the way they think. File data: This is often very dense data like 3D models, textures, animations and terrain. Our user interface is built up from XML and Lua files. Many of the art files do not use the same file formats that commercial art tools spit out. Our build pipeline takes these raw art files and translates them into something optimized for our game to read and process.

Nov 15 Spell Mechanic Questions and Hopes on Items I am not necessarily looking for any discourse that would lead to an answer, but hopefully this would gain enough traction that Blizzard might see it, and offer some insight to intended function come summer 2019. I know there is a current wall of text somewhere regarding questions on almost every item with a spell damage effect and whether or not they will be granted coefficients from character gear grand spell damage. I noticed one in particular that was left out and wanted to reiterate my personal favorites. Shard of the Fallen Star: Originally benefited in part or completely 1:1 ratio from spell damage and was capable of critting. It was nerfed in patch 2.0 which is after classic wow content. In the spirit of keeping things as they were, do you think Blizzard will keep this mechanic or change it to a post nerf state which although is not classic wow maybe seen as a balanced fix. Weapon List: Hand of Ragnaros, Netzerek the Blood Drinker, Corrupted Ashbringer, Shadowstrike - all received 2:1 coefficent originally in classic. I believe they were a little too strong but did not receive any nerf to my knowledge. Do you think these will remain as it was or be changed to satisfy the hopes for balance?Tunnelboy6 Nov 15
In terms of what the World of Warcraft Classic Best Classes are, Warrior and Priest stand out almost instantly. This is partly due to the fact that Protection Warrior is the only viable Tank Class in WoW Vanilla Patch 1.12. Both the Proc Warrior and Priest are required for Raids and when combined in a PVP setting can be a fierce combo on the battlegrounds.

Gold was vastly more important in classic; it gradually became less relevant/powerful as time went on in the current version of the game.
